Functions

• To create a world-class library by establishing state-of-the-art infrastructure containing books by eminent writers in different academic fields, with special emphasis on digital techniques and access for students and users.
• To provide material that will stimulate students’ acquisition of factual knowledge, development of literary appreciation, aesthetic values, and ethical standards.
• To provide sources of research-oriented information and articles/journals for academia.
• To select, evaluate, and acquire library materials in varied formats to meet and respond to the needs of our diverse community.
• To keep Faculty members informed with the latest updates in their respective subject areas.
• To help in promoting research in various departments of the Institute.
• To provide healthy entertainment and recreational material to its users.
• To ensure the smooth functioning and effective management of the central library by coordinating with the various departments of the Institute.

Responsibilities

• The committee shall promote the use of the latest techniques and software by the library staff for the smooth functioning and management of the library.
• To coordinate and communicate with the R&D committee to bring updated journals and research papers.
• To organize regular seminars and workshops on emerging trends and technologies with a special focus on innovations in libraries.
• To focus on the digitalization of the library and promote digital policies by facilitating access to the National Digital Library portal and DELNET.
